Welcome to the Orange County Partnership for Young Children
The Partnership is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that every child in Orange County arrives at school healthy and ready to succeed. We focus on the early years of a child's life—from birth to age five—which is the most critical time in a child's development.
The Partnership works collaboratively with the community to identify issues and create solutions to the concerns facing young children and families. We design and fund model programs to ensure children and their families have the resources they need to get off to a smart start. Our programs focus on early childhood education, child health care, early intervention, parenting education and family support.

Rock Rattle & Roll consists of a competition between youth bands and adult/college bands.

Preventing Obesity By Design Community Meeting
Join the community to learn more about the upcoming Preventing Obesity by Design (POD) project at Chapel Hill Day Care Center in Southern Village.
Wednesday, September 15th, 2010 from 6-8 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church at 800 Market Street in Southern Village.
POD is aimed at reversing the trend toward childhood obesity by improving OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENTAL DIVERSITY of childcare centers, which research suggests can increase children’s level of physical activity and their awareness of the importance of healthy living.
POD is sponsored by the Natural Learning Initiative at NC State, Orange County Partnership for Young Children and Child Care Services Association.
