Administrator’s Series: Writing Health Policies in a COVID-19 World

June 16, 2020 | 1 – 2 pm

1.0 DCDEE CHC awarded after post-evaluation is submitted

Policies are important to child care centers because they build a common understanding of how the program operates. They help administrators, families, and teaching staff stay on the same page, reducing confusion and misunderstandings. In today’s world of COVID-19-focused guidance and regulations, NC child care centers are tasked with creating new policies that cover strict health and safety procedures.

In this session, participants will explore ways that policies can assist with the management of health standards and exclusion practices. Participants will also leave the session with a greater knowledge of how to write clear, child-focused policies that meet or exceed current NC DHHS and CDC guidance.
