NC Pre-K Program
Due to the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic, NC Pre-K classrooms in public schools are operating remotely for as long as the public schools continue to operate remotely. NC Pre-K sites in private child care centers continue to operate in person on a site-by-site basis.
Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis for NC Pre-K placements for 2020-2021 and 2021-2022.

The NC Pre-K Program is a program of the Division of Child Development and Early Education (DCDEE) in the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The NC Pre-K Program is designed to provide high-quality educational experiences to enhance school readiness for eligible four-year-olds.
